From smile design to execution and realization---Digital way

A young mom with tetracycline-stained teeth presents to Prosthodontist Qing asking for help. During our initial thorough and comprehensive exam, we noticed that besides the patient's major concern "smile", there is another major issue is her Periodontitis ( gum disease), which caused gum bleeding, tooth mobility, collapsed bite, and tooth shifting (Fig 1 and 2).

Prosthodontist QIng designed the treatment plan, the patient understands that beauty comes after health and function. Conservative periodontal treatment has been done with adjunctive treatment modalities.

After the gum is healthy, teeth are stable, we designed her new smile digitally and precise upper front teeth cosmetic crowns were done to further stabilize the occlusion as well as improve the smile. The patient said not only cardiologists can save a life!
